Education
We are dedicated to helping creatives at any stage in their craft to create and explore their own individual potential and to share their work with the world.
We have developed the techniques we use in our work into a concise programme for creatives looking to explore the wonderful world of physical theatre.
The workshop programmes are for anyone who wishes to awaken their inner child and find a sense of joy and play in their creative practice, no matter the level of experience or the background participants come from.

Where do we focus?
We focus on working physically with the body, finding precision and rhythm to convey characters and stories. This helps us to approach the devising process using the instrument of the body alone before building in other elements of storytelling.
We specialise our training in a range of mediums including:
Physical Theatre
Mime
Puppetry Performance
Physical Comedy
Ensemble Devising
Movement Directing
It is our mission is to inspire artists of any age/at any stage to broaden their horizons of what they can do on stage with nothing at their disposal. This will enable them to create worlds with no limits!
What do we specialise in?
-
We offer bespoke training in the broad field of Physical Theatre, touching on a range of techniques from working as an ensemble to telling stories through the body alone.
-
In our mime training, we will focus the attention onto the body as an instrument and train students to develop an awareness of how each minute movement tells a story.
We will explore elements of Etienne Decroux’ corporeal mime approach as well as delving into the classical Pantomime approach which focuses on fixed point and object illusion.
As well as this, we will work with students to understand the fundamental skills needed for object manipulation.
-
Our puppetry training focuses on teaching students how to convey a story by bringing inanimate objects to life.
We also offer practical workshops in making puppets.
-
In this aspect of our training, students will learn the basics of comedic timing as well as trip falls, simple stage combat and directing the focus of the audience in order to make every joke land, instead of slip and fall away!
-
Learning how to build an ensemble and devise within a group setting allows students to become more comfortable moving and creating images and sequences together as a collective.
This training is especially useful for students with dance backgrounds who are interested in how to tailor their performance and movement quality to build a narrative.
-
This training will allow students to look at the structure of a theatre piece as a whole and find a clear movement quality that is consistent throughout, allowing for distinct and unique style to shine through their performance.
This is particularly helpful for students with a keen eye for directing and dramaturgy.
What do we offer?
We offer workshops for schools, drama societies, universities and anyone else who is eager to learn our style and bring it into their own work!
We have shared workshops and worked collaboratively with multiple groups including The Acting Collective, Action Theatre Company, and Edge Hill University.
